What Is Botox & How Does it Work?
Botox, or onabotulimumtoxin A, is a form of botulinum toxin type A. Essentially, Botox works to relax facial muscles which helps improve the appearance of dynamic rhytids or wrinkles and lines that occur with movement.

Does Botox Have Any Side Effects?
Like any facial cosmetic procedure, some side effects should be expected. However, Botox is a very popular procedure not only because it is highly effective, but also because it has very few side effects. After your treatment, you might experience some minor bruising around the injection sites. This is normal, and any bruising you experience should fade very quickly.
Other potential side effects include temporary numbness or weakness of the muscles near the injection sites or, and in very rare instances, drooping eyelids. Most of our Port Jervis Botox patients find that they can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure.
